ACADEMICS
"to my mind, growth"
Every Delta Zeta chapter encourages scholarship. To help new members attain and keep high grades during their new member semester, special help is given to them by the New Member Educator and Academics Chairwomen.
Academic Events
Each spring semester, we hold Delta Zeta’s annual Faculty Luncheon. This is our most treasured event for Academics as we are able to appreciate the professors at the University of San Francisco. At the event, professors learned more about what Delta Zeta has to offer on campus as well as around San Francisco as a whole. We have activities for sisters and their guest faculty members to participate in such as bookmark making, a scavenger hunt, and a raffle with three lucky faculty winners!
Additionally, the Academics Chairwomen are in charge of hosting Sisters for Success during the Fall semester. This event gives New Members in the chapter an opportunity to network with initiated sisters, and to ask for major and minor advice as well as future career advice.

Academic Success
As our creed states: “To my mind; growth”, scholarship is an extremely important part of membership in Delta Zeta. Our sisters know that school is always a top priority and we take our roles as students very seriously. As of the Fall 2020 semester, 55% of our chapter made it on the Dean’s List. We also have one of the highest cumulative GPAs, standing at a 3.7, among the social Greek organizations on USF’s campus (previous semester). Our average GPA is also higher than both USF’s total GPA and the all women’s average GPA on campus. We are so proud of our sisters for continuing to achieve their academic goals each semester.
